The Reason
A complete metamorphosis of an unexpected small inheritance and a VW van.
In the memory of two spirits set free on a wild Welsh wind during the October of 2014.

Seeing Red
Wilfrid the original, human of course, always woke my human to see great celestial events. My human is now programmed to never miss these and joined me at 1.30am and 2.30am to see the red moon and total eclipse. He muttered something about light pollution and I though he was going to take me onto Cannock Chase for a better view but he didn't. It really was not very red! I watched it all and the eclipse bit was impressive until it became misty.
Scree slopes and cheese
I enjoyed the dramatic scenery as I transported my humans to The White Peaks, Moët,a dog named after Champagne, also came in some strange crate to protect my interior. A rare hot summers day in late September and my humans had planned to walk 7 miles over hill and Dale.
They parked me up for 4 hours, they are going to have to get a move on, the view they left me with was pretty and the village bustling.
Human Wilfrid often walked in this area with his cousin Tom and wife Freda. Wilfrid seldom ventured far from the honey spots of Dove Dale stepping stones, Mill Dale or Hartington, all then much quieter than they are today. Wilfrid preferred to explore by car than on foot.
My humans left the village on the path behind the WC, not taking the well trod path to Wolfscote Dale but climbing high between narrow walled unsurfaced lanes to Biggin. Then dropping into Biggin Dale which is wild and dramatic as it drops to Wolfscote Dale and the river Dove.
Approaching Wolfscote Dale and its huge white cliffs. I didn't have to serve them refreshments on their return as they found a great Coffee and Cake shop at the end of the trail.

Phoebe
I now have another human to take care of so paid her a visit. Phoebe is the latest addition to my humans other girls Annabella and Amelia. Will be some time before she travels in me.
Me at the hospital where humans arrive, a bit like my garages I suspect.

Healthy Living
Challenging humans to throw themselves off mountains on bikes, wicked!
My human spent a sunny day with his Mountain Bike friends Sue and Dave helping BUPA and the FCC to promote activities in the forest. My job was to keep them supplied with a constant stream of Coffee and cakes.

Music in the shadow of the dam
LLanwddyn my first weekend music event. My humans had a great time at this excellent event in a fantastic location, some rain but it was in Wales. I made a new friend and my humans met some lovely people. Human Wilfrid loved this area of Wales and would have cycled through the village on his way to Bala along the small road from the top South West corner of Lake Vyrnwy.
This is me crossing the dam above the village where the music weekend took place. Human Wilfrid was an engineer and was in awe of the Victorian engineering.
My new friend and she can move on her own!
The sun did shine, bliss.

This was the list of artists who performed, fantastic! Human Wilfrid would have enjoyed the Harpist, Male Voice Choir and Bernard's side splitting poems. He also loved The Goons and so probably would have appreciated the slap stick brilliance of the final act.
My humans Paul and Kathy say a huge thank you to Ken and Ruth who organised such a good event.
Ah! The journey home. After embarrassing myself and my humans by not starting 3 times I then took them into a three hour traffic jam on the A5, unforgivable.
So to kill time and inspired by Bernard Wrigley my humans made up a four line poem for human Wilfrid, here it is...
Wilfrid was once an adventurous man.
Who's care from his wife Peggy was resplendent.
But once a year he baked a cake.
To prove he could still be independent.
Apparently human Wilfrid often baked a cake and commented thus.
